Complete systems specialist Fischer Panda UK say the rise in interest in electric propulsion in the inland waterways sector helped drive a record number of visitors to its new demo trailer at this year’s Crick Boat Show.
With more boat owners looking for alternatives to traditional petrol or diesel drive systems, Fischer Panda’s comprehensive range of battery, parallel hybrid and generator supported electric propulsion systems combined with its full-system capabilities and service support attracted more enquiries than ever before over the Bank Holiday weekend.
In addition, visitors were also able to view a Fischer Panda UK-supplied system onboard an Elton Moss boat at the show, with installed equipment including a Bell Marine 20kW motor with a parallel function working alongside an existing engine, Fischer Panda AGT 13000 DC 48v generator and Dometic reverse cycle air conditioning system
Chris Fower, Sales and Marketing Director, Fischer Panda UK, said: “We brought our upgraded display trailer to the show for the first time and the feedback from customers was fantastic. It made a real difference for people to be able to experience the sound, operation and functionality of the products and equipment in this setting. Everyone that came onboard was impressed with the system approach offered by Fischer Panda UK and said we really simplified what can seem to be a confusing subject at first.
“Crick Boat Show is always a key event for us, so we are delighted that it was our most successful in terms of visitors and enquiries. We have several follow up meetings with boatbuilders and customers in the pipeline to discuss new opportunities around our electric propulsion capabilities.”
Marking its 25th anniversary year, Fischer Panda UK enjoyed its most high-profile presence yet at the annual May event, highlighting its marine generators, electric propulsion and integrated systems.
The Fischer Panda UK trailer will also be at this year’s Southampton Boat Show on Stand E020.
