Team Spotlight: Ian Saunders

From Specialist Vehicle Manager to Sales Director

At Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions, we’re proud to highlight the talent and expertise within our team. This month, we’re putting the spotlight on Ian Saunders, who recently stepped into his role as Sales Director after several years leading our specialist vehicle division.

Ian’s journey within the business has been defined by hands-on experience, problem-solving, and collaboration. Starting in specialist vehicle sales in 2022, he built on his strong understanding of onboard power systems, electrification, and integrated climate control. His work spans projects in emergency fleets, niche commercial vehicles, and marine applications, giving him a broad perspective on real-world operational challenges.

“I’ve had the privilege of growing with Fischer Panda UK,” says Ian. “Seeing how market trends are evolving with electrification and hybrid power has been hugely rewarding. It’s exciting to now bring that knowledge across all sectors in my role as Sales Director.”

Ian’s experience in the vehicle sector dates back to 2014. His background across both land and marine power systems allows him to approach projects with versatility, supporting operators in UK and export markets where environmental extremes can challenge conventional HVAC and power setups. Alongside his technical expertise, Ian is an experienced sales leader, having previously led the marine sales team at Dometic before joining Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions.

On a more personal note, Ian is a British Army veteran and father of two young boys. He feels most at peace spending his free time with his family at their cottage in Wales.

As we continue to expand our expertise in electrification and climate control, Ian is an invaluable asset, helping customers navigate complex projects with confidence and delivering reliable, efficient, and future-ready solutions.
